Lake Summers is an accomplished attorney specializing in Labor and Employment law and Civil Rights. With a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University in 1987 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina in 1991, Lake possesses a strong educational background.
Lake was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1991, and is authorized to practice in various courts, including the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit.
Lake's professional experience includes serving as a Military Major in the U.S. Army JAG Corps. During this time, Lake received the Bronze Star for operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, as well as the Meritorious Service Medal from the 82nd Airborne Division in 1996. Lake held significant roles in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 12th Legal Support Organization.
Lake began his legal career as a Distinguished Military Graduate at West Virginia University, and subsequently served as a Law Clerk to Honorable Julius H. Baggett, a South Carolina Circuit Court Judge. Lake also worked as an Assistant Solicitor for the 11th Judicial Circuit in Lexington, South Carolina, from 1996 to 2000.
